Can my OoBaby! Portable Bottle Warmer be used with breast milk & formula?

Great news - you can heat both breast milk and formula in your OoBaby! Portable Bottle Warmer!

Using Breast Milk with the OoBaby! Portable Bottle Warmer

- We recommend setting your OoBaby Portable Bottle Warmer to 37°C-40°C, our lowest heating option. The slow heat technology preserves the nutrients in the milk and prevents any hotspots. Ensure the breast milk is thawed before heating.

Using Formula with the OoBaby! Portable Bottle Warmer

- Warm your water first using your OoBaby! Portable Bottle Warmer. Once it reaches the desired temperature, add your formula.
Note: We do not recommend adding your formula before heating the water, as it may stick to the heating plate and prevent the bottle from warming correctly.

What is the best water temperature for my baby to drink?

We recommend 37 C- 40 C for breast milk, and 45 C- 50 C for water/formula.

How long will my OoBaby! Portable Bottle Warmer take to heat?

Your bottle will typically take about 4-8 minutes to heat. The exact time may vary based on the initial temperature of the liquid and the selected temperature setting.

Can I use my OoBaby! Portable Bottle Warmer to keep liquid warm over night?

It is not recommended to warm milk more than half an hour. Milk is considered perishable, and it cannot be stored for long time.

How do I clean my OoBaby! Portable Bottle Warmer?

To clean your portable bottle warmer while out and about, follow these simple steps:

  1. Use a soft, damp cloth or wipe to clean the exterior of the warmer, avoiding water contact with the heating unit.
  2. If there are spills or stains, gently clean them with a cloth dampened with warm, soapy water.
  3. Use a soft, damp cloth or wipe to clean the heating plate, making sure it is completely dry before use.
  4. Perform regular cleaning to keep your portable bottle warmer in good condition and ensure its longevity.

Sterilising

  1. Before sterilising, ensure the warmer is unplugged and has cooled down completely to avoid accidents.
  2. Use a commercial sterilizing solution, a mixture of water and sterilizing tablets, or boiling water.
  3. Remove the lid and rubber seal.
  4. Place the sterilizing solution or boiling water on the heating plate without submerging the unit. Soak the rubber seal separately.
  5. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the solution or soak in boiling water for at least 5 minutes.
  6. Pour out the water/solution and wipe down to ensure all liquid is removed.
  7. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling or using the portable bottle warmer again.
  8. Sterilize your OoBaby! Portable Bottle Warmer regularly, to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria.

What if I see white or rust-colored spots inside my OoBaby! Portable Bottle Warmer?

White or rust-colored spots are likely scale deposits. To remove these, we recommend mixing a small amount of white vinegar or citric acid descalers with hot water (over 50C), then leave this solution in the OoBaby! Portable Bottle Warmer for about 10 minutes until all scales have dissolved.

Can I use my OoBaby! Portable Bottle Warmer while it's charging?

The OoBaby! Portable Bottle Warmer can work during charging, however you will need to ensure the battery percentage is higher than 50%. If the battery percentage is too low, it may not heat up to your desired temperature as effectively.

Why is my OoBaby! Portable Bottle Warmer indicating a warning when there is already water inside?

On occasion, a false warning may be triggered due to the temperature difference between hot water and warmer. When adding hot water to your OoBaby! Portable Bottle Warmer, please wait 10 to 30 seconds before switching the warmer on.
